Why our piano lessons?

All my life music has been my passion!!

My musical journey began when I was a child,  leaving my home to study music in  Moscow – an odyssey that ultimately led to America…. It is my hope that I can help students begin their own musical journeys, and to experience the joy of making music. Teaching enables me to do this – and to enrich the world just a little,  by imparting a love of music to my students.

I am a graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the former Soviet Union, which is the most recognized and highly revered musical institution in the world, and which has produced many of the most famous composers and accomplished musicians of the 20th Century. Everyone who has passed through its halls has received an incomparable artistic education from many world-famous professors, composers, artists and scholars.

I was honored to have received my Masters of Arts in Music Performance and Pedagogy from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, one and the same which graduated so many famous composers and musicians through its long 140-year history – including:

Sergei Taneev, Sergei Rachmaninov, Aram Khachaturyan, Sergei Prokofiev, Dmitri.Shostakovich, Anton Arensky, Alexander Scriabin, Alfred Schnitke, Dmitri Kabalevski,  David Oistrakh, Leonid Kogan, Mstislav Rostrapovich, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Viktoria Postnikova, Rodion Shchedrin, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Nicolai Petrov, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, and many, many others.

Upon graduation from the Conservatory, I had performed professionally in various orchestras and then as a professional musical instructor for over 20 years, with successful teaching experience in performance.

My approach to teaching is marked by patience, confidence, and a deep commitment to high standards in the quality of musical education. Today, in addition to teaching, I continue to pursue my musical vocation on a very personal level, in publishing my own compositions, that loved by many people. Some examples of my original music you can check out here.
